my birthday

Days are flying soo fast...just felt I joined college.. but one year just flew.. everything is happening in lightining speed... 19 years have flown by in the wink of a second.. recieved around 18 calls at mid night.. then in the morning when I woke up, I cut the yummiest cake ever.. made by my mom- a rice cake.. it tasted so good. then mom, preethi and I went to the temple. After that we went to drr Rajneethi. The movie was very nice. I did not knwo such a big surprise was awaiting for me that night. I just went with Preethi and mom for shopping and thought of going out for dinner. We decided to go to copper chimney. I was as usual on the phone when I went to eat. I was so shocked to see my friends sitting in the place we went to dine in. It truly was a surprise. I was so amazed and had no words to express my feelings. We had dinner and I cut the big cake. Then the day was completed by taking some photographs....the whole thing was organised by my best friend- layeeq and preethi my sister... Im very thankful to them!!

Last night.. like a sweet doll.. you came down to my place.... you looked as fresh as ever ... with a nice hair cut .. and those smart fast track goggles.. we were just talking about some random guys in school... and u were wearing your levis jean and a nice fab india kurti! we were discussing about the annual day dance.. and I was telling you about the fashion show that happened in CV on 30-8-2008.. (the day you were admitted in the ICCU..) I was talking to you as if we were still in 2008!! And then suddenly you said you want to continue watching singh is king... and I told you its so yuck and you said "ya ..it is...." and even before you saw the the whole movie you left us all and went karishma...I swear I did not realise it was dream until i woke up in the middle of the night... sometimes I just feel you are with me.. but when I dont feel your presense it puts me down.. I cant believe its almost one and a half years since you died... :( I really miss you a lot Karish.. come back to me .. someday .. in someway !! will be waiting till I die

this is probably the first ever tamil movie which I'm seeing where the hero and heroin part !! in most movie when the actors always get married... or live together !! silambarasan is actually one actor whom i always hated.. but now.. after seeing this movie i like him! :) his acting is excellent .. though he has teased SURYA nad tried to imitate his style.. songs in the movie are just amazing .. and trisha's acting is commendable..the movie is based on his life and some incidents are shown... hossana means a shout of adoration.. hats off to the Mozart of music- A.R.R ! the lyrics of every song is still lingering in my mind.. i can never forget the experience of going for Vtv with college friends.. i was constantly commenting about whatever happened and a firend of mine- karishma cried through out ! LoL !! :p manasa, gauri, swathi , saranyaa, karishma n i went for the movie directly from coll! it was awesome

DIRTY INDIAN MEN

I went for a holiday to Andaman... and I went with my parents on kingfisher red on
23-1-2010.. right in front of us was a GANG of guys- calling them gang because they were literally behaving like that... When the flight took off they were silent .. I thought they are these boys who have never been on an air craft before.. I felt happy that more people are travelling by flight.. and then those idiots began their dirty pranks. Every time the hostess bent down to take something or walked across their seat two guys started taking pictures of her back and began to comment and smile.. My MOM AND i GOT SO DAMN WILD .. AND THE WORST PART is that we were able to look at the pictures they had taken.. they were a group of around twenty .. with guys and girls... and another guy who looked more mature and big who looked like their teacher was even worse.. bloody he started to record videos of those cabin crew. We Called her and told her .. she asked those people to switch off the cameras and they never listened.. the hostess sadly came and said that photography is allowed on board... We felt very bad .. and wrote a strong complaint in their sugesstion sheet..I really wish something would happen to these rogues! they cannot just go around like this... something has to happen to them

haiti earhquake

A black Tuesday:
Haiti is a French-speaking Caribbean country. On January 12, 2010, a 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck Haiti, with its epicenter 16 miles offshore west of the capital city Port-au-Prince, which was devastated. Thousands of people were killed; the Presidential palace, Parliament and many other important structures were destroyed, along with countless homes, businesses, hospitals, schools and shantytowns.
Countless number of bodies are still being recovered, 100 hours after the quake. Numerous children have lost their lives. People who are injured are lying amidst corpses. This is the worst ever earthquake in two centuries. There has been tremendous amount of destruction in the capital of Port-au-Prince and the surrounding areas. The International Red Cross estimated that about three million people were affected by the quake and about million people feared dead.
According to the US Geological Survey, The quake, which struck about 15km (10 miles) south-west of Port-au-Prince, was quickly followed by two aftershocks of 5.9 and 5.5 magnitude.
The first tremor had hit at 1653 local time (2153 GMT) on Tuesday.
Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere and has suffered from lot of calamities like hurricanes and storms which killed many people.
Several countries and non-profit organizations have started to pull together aid efforts for Haiti, where the International Red Cross estimates 3 million people may be in need of help.
The United Nations on Friday appealed for 562 million U.S. dollars to help the victims of earthquake in Haiti. The UN Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) has allocated 25 million U.S. dollars towards the appeal. The Red Cross Society has released more than $10 million in funds for relief efforts to the victim of Haiti.2010 has not stated off well for the people in Haiti, but the calamities of nature are not man-made. Nothing can be done to prevent natural calamities. A great tragedy in the history is being passing, and only our prayers can help the Haitian victims .

kARiShMa ArOrA..wHeRe arE u?

I had a very cute friend... named karishma.. she meant everything to me.. she was one bubbly bubbly gal wid whom I shared all my secrets.. there was nothing that she did not know about me..Three years back.... she fell sick one day... all of us thought its something normal.. but she had an ailment... something which could not be cured...n one day 31-8-2008 , at 5-30 am I received a text msg from her mom saying she was NO MORE.. i felt that was the end of everything .. i did not know how to react or what to do.. that day i was participating in my school sports day..It is the most unforgettable day of my life..I missed someone whom I never ever wanted to miss.!! she was the only one of my kind.. she was younger to me by a year!! she was the most beautiful flower in the garden of my life and god snatched her away from all of us.. wherever u are karishma .. however u are..we all will always miss u foreva and ever.. RIP :(

I wonder how days are flying soo fast!!!.. I was actually waiting for schooling to end soon.. n wanted to start college life.. seldom did I realize what a pain it would be.. I really wanna get back to school.. in that uniform with neatly combed hair now unlike how im right now...!! I wanna wear blue and white ribbons.. n black shoes!~!!! ***t I miss all that so much .. Now in college.. Im free to wear anythin but for t-shirts.. though all this is fun .. I miss whatever we did at school.. the exams we wrote.. canteen fun ( though t was de worst canteen in the world!!) But.. whatever we do life has to move.. we cannot be sitting like frogs in the well!! n my course is such that I ve to explore the world.. learn new things..!! its actually very interesting though t is strenuous right now!! Im sure these days will also fly in no tym!!

3 idiots

What I felt after watchin the movie..
Lemme begin with the +ve aspects:
The movie was a good entertainer.. nice way to begin 2010 I should say.. There were some scenes were all of us literally burst into laughter n a couple of scenes were many ppl burst into tears- scenes like when rAju jumps off the third floor..Boman Irani's acting is laudable.. Aamir looks like a young boy- does not look like he is more than 40..He has lost his six pack abs :( n does not have bulging red eyes( i think he managed to stay away from drinking :P) Maddy has become an uncle now, but still suits the role!! Sharman is the only one among the three who is actually the right age of a college student !!
SCENES WHICH WERE DISAPPOINTING:
1-There were TOOOO many scenes shot with underpants.. n in the washrooms.. which actually was not reqd one bit.. especially the top angle shot of the 3 idiots about the discussion of how to handle VIRUS's decision of shifting Sharman to Omi Vaidya's room.. it was ABSOLUTELY NOT NECESSARY AT ALL.. who would like to look at middle aged men showing off all private parts of the body in public? There were other scenes too like the ragging part!!!
2- The DELIVERY scene was the worst ever in bollywood cinema... even saawariya scenes were better compared to that one..There was no need of making Aamir Khan do the deliver of his girl friend's sister !!! argggghh...
3- The scene were Aamir and Kareen admit Sharmaan's dad in the hospital was absolutely silly!


The movie was a mixture of Dil Chahata hain, Vasoolraja MBBS .. and FPS!!
The shooting locations were excellent- Ladakh- the car ride was just amazing.. the closing shot in the beach was amazing and Aamir being Wangdu was a good one!!

ALL IZZ WELL has become a punchline now- n is the status msg of many ppl on social networking sites and also the begining of many e-mails!!
The movie is really making a lot of money .. Chetan Bhagat's name should have been mentioned in the beginning itself.., Though the movie is not fully his story its roots are from FPS and CB deserves to be credited .. The controversy created was kind of silly and the way Vidu Vinod Chopra behaved was very DIRTY!!
The movie has already made over a 3C and is still running house full!!
It was a nice one on the whole:P :)

Today is january 2, 2010 and this is the first time I am venturing into something like creating a blog.. ive no clue about wat blogging exactly is though im 18(pretty bad):) anyways.. better late than never.. i can always learn as it has no age bar!! so i wanna explore............. did a 2 week project at TOI ... had fun.. it was very nice... holidays became hectic.. but .. still learnt a lot .. cant forget all reporters n ppl at TOI.. goinh for a baby's first bday tom with karthik n varshini!
